In Loving Memory of Smoke
It’s hard to find words for a loss this sudden and unfair. We all wish our time with Smoke hadn’t been so short, but what matters most isn’t how long he lived — it’s how deeply he was loved every single day.
In just two short years, Smoke filled our lives with joy, cuddles, and tail wags. He had a gift for making every day brighter just by being himself. I’ll never forget that look in his eyes when he knew he did something wrong, or how he’d hold out on his dog food knowing Dad’s leftovers were coming.
Dear Smoke,
You were my best friend — my ride-or-die, my road dog. You saved me more times than I can count, and I only wish I could’ve saved you this time. Run free with your big brother Max and watch over baby Bryce in heaven.
I’ll always remember how you ran to greet me when you heard the car alarm, tucked your head under my chin when I said “just hugs,” and curled up between mommy’s legs since you were a puppy. And of course, how you’d zoom around after you went poop — your little victory lap.
Thank you, my sweet boy, for all the love and happiness you gave us. I’ll miss you for the rest of my life, but I’ll never forget you. I love you, Dope — until I see you again, be a good boy.
Love always,
Daddy, Mommy & Sis Jessica ??
P.S.
Every time I go to Moon’s and see Bella, I’ll remember how wild you two were together.
She misses you, Smoke — and when baby girl Delaney yells “Doggy,” I’ll think of you, boy.
I know your brother King and your best friends Scout, Lacey,Macy and family will never forget you—they’re missing you too.
